Membership Application

Membership is open to all those interested in works made “in the small”. Memberships for South African Residents only.

There is an annual subscription fee for either artist or patron. The year will run from the beginning of February to the end of the following January.

The society holds an annual exhibition in Johannesburg, but occasionally have the opportunity to exhibiting more often. The Miniature Art Society of South Africa (MASSA) is affiliated with the World Federation of Miniaturist (WFM) whose international exhibition takes place every four years in a different country, and our members are able to submit artwork through MASSA.

Only those paid-up members may submit work for selection and exhibition. 

Selection for exhibition is made by a suitably qualified committee, which will provide a brief critique of each unselected work.

Members will receive at least three informative newsletters per year.

Regular meetings critiques and workshops will be held. These are organised in order to help and encourage new members.

Members are encouraged to make suggestions as to the running of the society, either to the committee or for inclusion in the newsletter.
