Today, MASSA has around 53  members and remains dedicated to supporting artists through exhibitions, workshops, and mentorship. Membership is open to all residents of South Africa with an interest in miniature fine art.

Membership Benefits:

• Eligibility to submit artwork for MASSA’s annual exhibition and international WFM exhibitions.
• Regular newsletters with updates on exhibitions, events, and opportunities.

Membership Fee:

• Standard Membership: Annual fee of R180
• * We are in the process of adding a Premier Membership Tier: The annual fee will be R350. Miniature artists who have exhibited with us for a minimum of two years can apply for Premier Membership, where you will get to have an artist profile on our website.

Our headquarters are in Johannesburg, where we hold regular meetings, demonstrations, and workshops to foster a community of artists passionate about miniatures.

International Recognition

MASSA members have exhibited internationally, with many artists receiving awards and recognition from prestigious miniature art societies in the USA, UK, and beyond. Through our affiliation with the World Federation of Miniaturists, members can submit work for the quadrennial international exhibition, which showcases the finest miniature art from around the world.

By maintaining high standards and nurturing artistic excellence, MASSA continues to celebrate the timeless tradition of miniatures while embracing new innovations in the field.
